I LOVED working with consultant Gina at Athena’s! I went to Athena’s after having zeroed in on the style of dress that I loved. I actually called the store and made an appointment based on a dress I saw on their website that I was dying to try on. As it turned out, they had 2 dresses in that style. Gina gave me her honest opinion on which she liked best, along with the pros and cons she thought may be relevant to each dress. I ended up going with her recommendation, which was also my top choice.

My dress came in fast – and I was excited to try it on right away. Gina accommodated me even though I was really just “visiting” my dress and it wasn’t a formal appointment, and told me I could visit whenever I wanted which was great. We made all of my fitting appointments right then and there, to guarantee my dates and times, and that all the work could be done in time.

My alterations magician, Bridgetta, truly made that dress fit like no dress has ever fit me before. She is the sweetest woman ever, and I enjoyed every second I spent with her!

My only disappointment was that the alterations cost was a lot higher than we were expecting. We were told alterations typically run about $250. However, alterations on my dress came out to $400, and I didn’t even have it hemmed. It would have been nice to have gotten an estimate on alterations BEFORE I was all pinned into the dress, because once you’re pinned in you don’t really feel like you have a choice anymore so we went with it and just paid. But Bridgetta did an AMAZING job, so although the $400 price tag was unexpected, it was worth it.

When I went back in to drop off my dress for preservation, Gina asked to see pictures from the wedding which I thought was super sweet. I really enjoyed all of my experiences at Athena’s. Gina and Bridgetta were so fun to work with and you can tell they truly love what they do. I would highly recommend Athena’s for anyone looking for a personalized bridal experience!
